Felicia's Meat Market, Deli and Catering

EDIT: I've come to the realization that my initial review was emotionally driven. I should not let one experience (albeit bad) define all of them. I've been here several times before and since my review with no complaints to be had.

I've been here before and I've had a good experience but my recent experience was poor enough to warrant this review unfortunately. I had arrived at 8 and they hadn't opened yet. This, to me, can be expected for a small place. It doesn't bother me. I was there first. Two ladies showed up and made a comment directly to me that no one is there yet. I walked in and waiting for them to open up. While waiting, 2 other people walked in. Both ladies helped the other 2 patrons without helping me even though i had been waiting 15 minutes and even though they made a comment directly to me acknowledging I was there first. When I was helped, I was told a butcher couldn't cut me 5lbs of unmarinated skirt steak. I essentially lost 20 minutes of my morning for absolutely nothing. I hope in the future I can increase this from 2 stars but this experience left a real sour taste in my mouth.

Wow, the sandwich.... The ppl working there are just as good! Best deli around in a 10 mile radius, no one else even comes close. For some real food, this place can't be beat.

The service here is unmatched. And the potato salad was the best I've ever had. Count me in for several more visits!

Excellent! Great Food, Great Staff, Great Family. From sandwiches, meets, deli, and cheese to steaks, patties, fish and more. Great selection of homemade frozen entree's, fresh bread, pasta's. They also do live Turkey's for T-Giving. Ordered many years and deep fry. Phenomenal. Give 'em a try, even for lunch.

Felicia's did it again! Short story... My wife calls me Sunday at noon and advises me the whole family is coming over for dinner and they want Papa (me) to make dinner. Daughters, son in laws, grandchildren and daughter in law to be. She was out with them at the Kane County flea market having fun. I spring in to action and call Jim and he prepares the beef tenderloin on skewers just like a shish kabob but nothing but the beef tenderloin. This permits separate seasoning and grilled to various tastes. I've had Felicia's prepare it this way before and now it's a popular family request. Felicia's also has all the other delicious sides to go along with the main course. It's Tuesday and they're still talking about it. I should mention that about once a week my wife calls me and asks that I bring here a pastrami on rye. I of course go to Felicia's and order the carry out, then deliver to my wife and have a very enjoyable lunch with her. You will not find a better deli than Felicia's. So close to home and so, so good! I always get the cracked olives too. YUM! Great friendly staff. Thank you!
