For trail running, do not go right on the path (towards bull run). It dead ends at old centreville road with a creek that is not passable to the other side of the trail (.9 mile out). Looks like at point there was a bridge but no longer exists. If you go left on trail it is rolling terrain, dry and a well improved path. I suggest running that way.

Beautiful trail. Just wish there were more garbage cans and fewer people littering.

One of the most beautiful and convienant spots to kyak or canoe today I seen a bald eagle twice what a way to unwind

Looks like not many people know this place. I saw only couple of people and for me it looked like the nature not touched by many people. There is no paved road and there is bit of hiking and its not flat trail. Precious nature is calling you. ????

A slightly sketchy lot, very easy to miss. That said you can easily get on the trail and bypass the flood plain section of Bull Run. That and there's no gate restricting access.
