Great access and easy parking. We came here for the Perseid meteor shower, as the light maps showed it would be a decent experience about 26 miles out from metro LA while avoiding the lights north in Calabasas. While there was still some light pollution, the skies were clear and full of stars! The trail was clear, though long wheat stalks surrounding the trail made it hard to lay down a blanket. It's easier to put a lawn chair down if you'd like to view some stars. Overall easy access from the 101, and I would come back again for a good hike away from the bustle of the city.
